UNITS charges the battery pack prior to setting up the phone. Therefore, you do not need to charge the battery pack for 15-20 hours before using the phone.
This phone is not recommended for buildings that are set up for the SpectraLink Wireless system. The SpectraLink system will cause continuous noise and static on the phone.
Page 30: “Transferring Calls” refers to switching a call from the handset to the base or from the base to the handset. To transfer a call from the handset or the base to another phone, press flash to first place the caller on hold; dial the 5 digit UNITS extension number; press flash again to connect to the party on hold; press Line 1 or Line 2 to hang up.
Page 40: Your Caller ID is number only; therefore, the name does not appear on the second line.
Caller ID is not available at the OSU airport or Regional Campuses.
If you have an administrative DID number (292, 688, and 247), your number will be displayed to off-campus Caller ID phones as “Ohio State Univ + 292-xxxx, 688-xxxx, or 247-xxxx. If you have an Administrative Non-DID number (4-xxxx), your number will not be displayed.
You can block your number from being displayed by dialing *67. If you prefer, UNITS can block all outbound number delivery so that you would not have to dial *67. However, by doing so, inbound caller ID would also be blocked.
Page 42: You cannot call a number from the Caller ID list.
Page 43: It is not recommended to store a Caller ID number in a memory location because the number will not be set up in the display with a 9 for off-campus dialing, or with 5-digit dialing for campus calls.
Page 45: UNITS does not offer CIDCW at this time.
