To Place a Call on Hold:

  • Press the Hold key.
  • Return the handset to the cradle. Note: If you don’t retrieve the call after 15 minutes, the call is automatically dropped.

To Retrieve a Call on Hold:

  • Lift the handset or press the Handsfree Mute key.

To Transfer a Call:
Note: In order to transfer a call, the phone must have the 3WC (3-Way Calling) feature.

  • Press the Link key; hear 3 beeps and dial tone.
  • Dial the 5 digit number you are transferring the call to.
  • Press the Link key. NOTE: If the number to which you are transferring to is busy, press the Link key twice slowly to return to your original call.
  • Press the Rls key.

To Redial a Call:

  • Press the Redial key.
  • Press the up or down arrow keys to scroll through the list until the number you wish to redial is shown.
  • Pick up the handset, or press the Handsfree Mute key, or press the Dial key (the phone will automatically dial the number).

To Make a Handsfree Call:

  • Press the Handsfree Mute key.
  • Enter the number you wish to call.
  • When call is complete, press the Rls key.

To Switch to a Handsfree Call:

  • Press the Handsfree Mute key.
  • Hang up the handset.
  • When call is complete, press the Rls key.

To Put a Call On Mute:

  • Press the Handsfree Mute key to first put the caller on Handsfree.
  • Press the Handsfree Mute key again. You can now hear your caller but your caller cannot hear you. The light beside the Handsfree Mute key will flash.
  • To speak to your caller, press the Handsfree Mute key again, or pick up the handset.

To Change the Amount of Numbers Shown in the Display So That The Phone Can Automatically Dial UNITS 5-digit Extensions:

  • Press the Set Options key.
  • Press the # key.
  • Press the down arrow key four times until Your area code appears in the display.
  • Press the 3 key on the dialpad.
  • Press 61429 Note: If numbers already appear, use the left arrow key to erase
  • Press the Save key. All calls coming from 292-xxxx will now be displayed as 2-xxxx.
  • Press 61468 Note: If numbers already appear, use the left arrow key to erase
  • Press the Save key. All calls coming from 688-xxxx will now be displayed as 8-xxxx.
  • Press 61424 Note: If numbers already appear, use the left arrow key to erase
  • Press the Save key. All calls coming from 247-xxxx will now be displayed as 7-xxxx.

To Change the Contrast of the Display:

  • Press the Contrast key until the desired setting appears.

Using the Directory Key:

To save a displayed number:

  • Press the Save key.
  • Press the Directory key.
  • If no name is displayed, you will be prompted to enter one. To program a name, find the dial pad key that has the first character of the name. Keep pressing it until the correct letter appears (i.e. to program the letter C, press the 2 button 3 times). To move on to the next letter, press a different dial pad key. If the next letter you need is on the same key, press the right arrow key to move cursor to the next space. If you need to change a digit or letter, press the left arrow key to erase it. When you’ve finished entering the name, press the Save key. NOTE: If you do not want to enter a name, proceed to the next step.
  • Press the Save key.
  • Press the Rls key.
