Online Troubleshooter for OIT Services:

Bad or "Snowy" Picture on All or Several Cable Channels

Please try the following troubleshooting tasks for this repair:

  • Check that the TV channel selector is set on the proper channel for your converter box (3).
  • Check your equipment to make sure everything is hooked up properly and that all cables are connected securely.
  • Remove any extra equipment, such as a VCR, DVD or game, and plug the TV directly into the cable jack in the wall. If this eliminates the bad picture, the problem may be related to one of the equipment you removed. If the problem still occurs, you may need to open a repair.
