Optional Digital Cable Services Now Available on the Columbus Campus 11/10/08
Residents living in university housing on the Columbus campus now have more choices than ever when it comes to cable TV programming. Optional Digital Cable Services such as Digital and HD channels, Digital Movie Packages, On Demand and Premium channels, Digital and HD set-top boxes and even DVR's are now available from Time Warner Cable, OIT's contracted provider for the Columbus campus.
OIT worked with Time Warner Cable to make these new options available to residents this fall. A current list of Optional Digital Cable Services and prices are available by clicking on the More Information link below.
Housing residents interested in these options must order them directly from Time Warner Cable's Sales Office at 614-481-5320 and select option 2. Time Warner Cable will bill residents directly for any digital services ordered and will provide residents with self-install kits that include the necessary equipment and instructions. Residents can choose to receive the self-install kits by mail or go to Time Warner Cable's Office at 1015 Olentangy River Road to pick them up.
Basic cable service from OIT is required when ordering any digital cable service options. Basic Cable Service is standard in most Undergraduate Housing areas and an optional service that can be ordered from OIT in other Housing areas on the Columbus campus.
