Big Ten Network Coming to Columbus Campus Channel Line-up 08/09/07
OIT is pleased to announce that the new Big Ten Network will be available on the Columbus campus channel line-up when it launches on Thursday, August 30, 2007. The channel will be delivered to the campus as part of the basic cable TV line-up. The exact channel number is unknown at this time, but will be announced to the campus community when it is available.
Ohio State’s first two football games, on September 1 and 8, are already slated to air on the new channel. In addition to football, the Big Ten Network will showcase a wide variety of women’s and men’s sports, as well as classic games, news and other special programming from the eleven Big Ten schools. OIT, a university department, maintains and distributes the cable TV system on the Columbus campus. Basic Cable TV is a standard service in undergraduate residence halls and an optional service that can be ordered in most other university housing areas and administrative buildings.
