OIT Telecommunications and Networking team members are sporting new uniforms as of January 2007. The new look includes a red golf shirt and a black button-down shirt, which bear the OIT logo. These new shirts replace all previous versions of the UNITS logo shirts that had been in use for a number of years.
The new uniforms are being donned by OIT Telecommunications and Networking team members who routinely interface with the campus community performing installations, maintenance and repairs. They work on telephone, fiber optics, cable TV and video services, networking (OSUNet), campus wireless (OSUWireless) and other telecommunication services. In addition to creating a professional appearance, the uniform shirts are an effective means for customers to readily identify the technical staff working in campus buildings.
As UNITS rebranded this past summer to the OIT name and a new logo, the process of replacing items where the UNITS name and logo existed has been ongoing. Updating the uniform shirts is one part of the rebranding process.
