OIT is participating in the Taste of OSU and World Carnival event that will take place at the RPAC on Friday, January 26, from 5:00p.m. to midnight. The event is sponsored by the Office of International Education (OIE) and open to all university students, faculty and staff. OIT will staff tables and provide information on campus services such as cellular phones, cable TV, campus wireless and more. Each attendee that visits the OIT booth will have an opportunity to place a free, 5-minute long distance call to connect with a family member or friend anywhere around the globe. The OIT tables will be located in the RPAC amphitheater near the Welcome Center.
OIT also took part in OIE’s International New Year’s Eve Party. The event was held December 31, 2006 at the RPAC and was well attended by the university community. OIT again distributed information about its services and offered each event attendee the opportunity to place a free, 5-minute, domestic or international long distance call.
