SportsTime Ohio Added to Ohio State's Cable TV Line-ups 03/29/06
As of March 30, 2006, SportsTime Ohio (STO), the Cleveland Indians new television network, will be available on the following Ohio State Cable TV line-ups:
- Ohio State Columbus Campus: OIT/UNITS channel 10
- Ohio State Columbus Off-campus properties: WOW channel 57
- South Campus Gateway (Residential Areas): WOW channel 57
- Ohio State Mansfield Campus: Time Warner channel 23
- Ohio State Wooster Campus: Clear Picture, Inc. channel 10
Customers with Ohio State's Cable Service in these locations may need to reprogram their TV equipment to receive and view the channel.
OIT/UNITS Department, in conjunction with local cable providers, delivers cable TV services to university-owned buildings on Ohio State's campuses. OIT/UNITS Cable TV Services are not available in all university locations or to non-university buildings. Campus customers that are interested in ordering cable services should contact OIT/UNITS' Customer Service, 292-8648, during business hours.
According to an STO press release, the new channel will air 130 regular season Indians baseball games, including pre- and post-game shows.*
*Note: STO does not currently offer programming 24 hours a day, seven days a week. When programming is not being broadcast, viewers may see either a "black screen" or a notice indicating "No Signal" is available.
