Now you can get domestic long distance for as low as 1¢ per minute with one of our bundled minutes plans. The bundled minutes plans offer great savings on domestic calling by giving you a “bundle” of long distance minutes for one low monthly fee.

You have two bundled minute plans to choose from, the 500 Minute Plan and the 2000 Minute Plan. The 500 Minute Plan provides you with 500 domestic long distance minutes for just $10.00 per month. The 2000 Minute Plan gives you 2,000 minutes of domestic long distance for the same low price of $20.00 per month. That's just 1¢ per minute!

You can use either plan’s long distance minutes at anytime of the day, any day of the month, to call any location in the 50 States, from anywhere in the 50 States or Canada--all at the same low rate. As an additional benefit, you will not be billed additional surcharge or per call access fees as is the case with most prepaid phone cards or calling plans from other companies.


How the Service Works

Both the 500 and 2000 Minute Plans use the same six-digit Authorization (Auth) Codes and five-digit Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) that our Traditional Long Distance service uses to access the university's long distance system.

Your plan’s domestic long distance minutes start on the first and end on the last day of each month. For either $10 or $20 each month, you will continue to get a new package of either 500 or 2,000 domestic minutes until service is canceled. Your minutes can be used any time of the day or week during the month you receive them, as long as your account is in good standing or until service is canceled. Any unused minutes at the end of a month will be lost and will not be rolled over for use in the following month.

Each call placed under the bundled plan you select will be rounded and billed to the nearest whole minute. Calls placed after you have depleted your plan’s monthly minutes will be billed at our Traditional Long Distance rates.

NOTE: Calls placed to Directory Information Assistance (e.g., 411 and 1-area code-555-1212) using your Auth Code and/or PIN are not considered long distance calls and will not deplete your plan’s minutes. You will be billed the current per call rate for any Directory Information calls made.


Ordering and Using either the 500 or 2000 Minute Plan

The bundled minutes plans are available to all current OSU students, faculty and staff for personal use. You can order this service online, or call 614-688-HELP (4357) to speak with a Customer Service Representative during office hours. You will first need to sign-up for your own personal, six-digit Authorization Code if you do not currently have one. Your six-digit Auth Code is needed to place long distance calls from university phones. Additionally, you will need to create your own five-digit PIN to use your 500 or 2000 domestic minutes from off campus locations. You can create your PIN when requesting your Auth Code using our online order system, or when you place your first long distance call from an off campus location. Billing and Payments

You will receive a consolidated bill each month from us for all of your services. The statement will itemize all long distance calls placed both under the bundled minutes plan selected and any charges for long distance calls made beyond your plan’s allotted minutes. If you have surpassed your plan’s domestic long distance minutes, your bill will denote which call sent you over your selected plan’s minutes with a pound sign (#). You can use our Online Account Management System to track your calling activity through out the month.

In addition, the initial monthly service charge for the bundled minutes plan you select will be prorated on your statement, depending on when you sign up for the plan. Upon canceling your bundled plan, your monthly charge will be prorated for your final month of service, and you will lose any remaining unused minutes the day the service is shut off.

You can pay your bill online, by telephone, by mail or in person. We accept personal checks, money orders and most major credit cards, as well as your Buck-ID. We do not accept cash.


Past Due Accounts

If your account with us becomes past due or goes over your credit limit, you will need to make a payment on your account to bring you in good standing, before being able to resume using your bundled minutes plan. Accounts that reach 90 days past due will be turned over to the University Accounts Receivable Department for collection and a hold will be placed on your university records.


Lost or Stolen Authorization Codes

Remember to keep your Authorization Code and PIN secure; do not share your codes with others.

If you suspect fraudulent use of your Authorization Code or if it has been lost or stolen, you should immediately file a report with OSU Police and contact us to shut off your Authorization Code. We will issue you a new Authorization Code and you will need to create a new PIN. Your bundled plan’s minutes of domestic calling cannot be reset. A credit for any suspected fraudulent calls is at the discretion of Our Billing Department.
