Ordering International Packages and A La Carte Channels:
International Channel Packages and International A La Carte Channels are only available in university buildings on the Columbus Campus and in South Campus Gateway residential areas. You must have UNITS’ Basic Cable Service to order one or more of the International Channel Packages or the International A La Carte Channels. If you don’t have Basic Cable already, you can order this service at the time you request one of these options.
Equipment Needed:
When ordering any of the International Channel digital options, you will also need to request a proprietary digital converter box package. OIT leases digital converter box packages, which includes a remote, for $5.00 per month. There is also a one-time installation fee of $10.*
Please allow up to five (5) business days for installation. A technician will need to access your room/apt. to install the digital converter box and set up service. You will also need to complete a "Permission to Enter" form when ordering service.
*NOTE: Only one digital converter box per room is needed. The digital converter box package is the property of OIT and The Ohio State University. A damaged or missing digital converter box and/or remote will be billed to the individual that requested the converter box package. There is a $300 replacement cost for a damaged or missing digital converter box and/or remote.
