Special Circuits
Our two-wire and four-wire circuits provide you with connectivity capabilities between campus buildings, in addition to off-campus locations. Several usage examples for circuits are: ring-down notifications (alarms), monitoring systems and devices placed in other locations and transporting or sharing information. Special circuits can be requested with a UNITS Micro form, a #1303 Requisition, and a #100W form. The monthly fee for circuits between campus locations are listed below. Additional monthly charges may apply for circuits that involve connection to off-campus locations. You will be charged the appropriate MAC order fees including time and materials for any circuit requests.
Cost per month for two-wire circuit: $5.05
Cost per month for four-wire circuit: $10.10

ADSL
ADSL (Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line) technology uses standard telephone lines to provide data connectivity for Internet and email access to contractors and non-university entities housed on the OSU campus. It is also an option for departments in campus locations where fiber optic connectivity is not available. ADSL provides more bandwidth and a faster connection than dial-up modem service.
The monthly charge for an ADSL connection provides service to a building or construction trailer. Customers can install their own network equipment or can request network equipment from UNITS for additional costs. Standard order and installation fees will apply. Additionally, a deposit is required for the ADSL modem. The deposit will be credited to your UNITS account upon return of this equipment. The modem must be in good, working condition for a full credit.
Cost per month: $55.00
Equipment Deposit: $900.00
For more information about ADSL, contact a UNITS Account Manager at 614-688-HELP (4357).
